
Authorities arrested five people involved in a network of drug transportation and distribution. Police believe that those arrested are members of the FARC.
The supects were arrested in the departments of Vichada, Meta and Guaviar, where the FARC allegedly have coca crops and processing labs, El Espectador reported.
According to authorities the suspects were in charge of transporting cocaine to Bogota, from where it would be passed on to an international network and distributed in the U.S.
The suspects allegedly pretended to be beer distributors to avert the attention of authorities.
They will go before a judge in Villavicencio, where the investiagtion into the trafficking network continues.
