Authorities seized more than US$6 million worth of falsified bills and arrested two people in a raid on an organization involved in the falsification and trafficking of currency in Bogota.

Police found 162 million falsified pesos and 100 thousand falsified bolivares, as well as the 10 thousand bills with a value of 5 thousand pesos in the process of being made.

A copying machine and templates for Colombian pesos, Venezuelan bolivares, U.S. dollars and euros were also found. One of the templates included the emblem of the U.S. State Treasury in its design.

According to investigators, the counterfeit money was destined for Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela and the U.S., EFE21 reported Thursday.
