Families of Colombians murdered in Venezuela march for justice


Colombians murdered in Venezuela

The families of three of the Colombians found murdered in Venezuela will march in the north-eastern city of Bucaramanga Monday to demand an investigation into the deaths.

The march will take place at 2pm and has the backing of Colombian labor union CUT.

The victims are three of the ten foreigners who were kidnapped in Venezuelan territory on October 11 whilst playing an amateur football game.

Authorities previously stated that all of the ten bodies found were Colombian. It is now believed that eight of the victims were Colombian, one Peruvian and one Venezuelan El Espectador reported Monday.

Colombia's President Alvaro Uribe requested the repatriation of the bodies on Sunday.

Public Defender Volmar Perez Ortiz said he will travel to San Cristobal, Venezuela on Monday to begin the repatriation process.
