Correa asks Colombia where FARC camps are

Colombia news - Rafael Correa

Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa asked Colombia to specify where the FARC has camps on Ecuadorean territory so they can be dismantled.

On Tuesday, Colombian Defense Minister Gabriel Silva Lujan said the Marxist rebels are still active on Ecuadorean territory and have several camps south of the Colombian border.

"I will provide you with accurate information on the presence of FARC camps in their country, and I hope this information receives decisive action because we're sure that is also what President Correa and his entire government desires," said Silva Luján.

"Let them tell us where they are and we catch them," Correa responded to journalsits in Caracas Wednesday, where he was visiting Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.

The Ecuadorean Head of State did ask the Colombian Government to give information that is "correct and precise."

"We can work together like we always have," the leftist leader added.

Colombia and Ecuador and in the process of improving bilateral relations that got strain after Colombia bombed a FARC camp in Ecuador in March 2008.

Good grief Correa, your are such an idiot and so is Lujan for reporting any of this in the press. As Correa says, "give me correct and precise information." Like FARC is still going top be there. They are long gone from Ecuador by now and Colombia will have more egg on their face. And Correa will have more information to warn his FARC friends with. This reminds me of the turkey story. "It's difficult to soar with eagles when all you have to work with are a bunch of turkey's. Gobble, gobble.

Good grief, an idiot calling an idiot....
Correa is showing that they are willing to stop FARC in Ecuador, and wants to know where the camps are to take action. By saying this it also shows warning against Colombia to stop with false claims like they always have done in the past.

Lets not forget the scandal where Colombia has provided with false and bad information to Correa about FARC camps inside Ecuador, and several of these "Supposed" FARC camp locations were not in Ecuador at all, they were inside Colombian territory. Colombia has been very sloppy.
Considering this, yes it is hard for Correa to "soar with eagles when he's working with a bunch of turkeys", quite a fitting case. Stop being sloppy like Colombia did in the past and give Ecuador the precise information.

You are the idiot as shown by your inane ability to understand what Correa said. How big is Ecuador? You are telling me that Ecuador does not know where the FARC is in Correa's country. Get your head out of the sand you fool...Correa is just delaying having to take responsibility and take action. He certainly knew to the meter where FARC was when Colombia rightfully invaded Ecuador to finish a job the Correa was to inept at doing. He knows and doesn't care because he is in bed with FARC...just sake his buddy Hugo.
Read and understand what is written before you make illiterate remarks.

OSBOblate,
YES! I'm telling you that Correa does not know where the FARC is, which is why Ecuador is asking this information. where do you even come up with Correa knowing FARC location to the meter? Everything that has been reported says otherwise.
Funny how you can't even address my previous argument on how Colombia gave false information to Ecuador about FARC camp locations and how some of the locations given were inside Colombian territory. This is why Correa wants "Correct and Precise" information. Hard to not understand what Correa is saying, so I don't see how it can be difficult for you to and understand and just misinterpret.
It's like you choose to not even want to understand this. Doesn't matter how big the location is. Colombia themselves do not even know where many FARC camps are inside their own territory and its their own war, yet Ecuador is to know any campsite in all its territory? Such foolishness. How about when Colombia delayed and refused its own border security when Ecuador was the first to take action and told Colombia to do the same? Hmm, again such foolishness. Sending missiles and invading another country, then shooting people in the back is no right at all. Funny how you trying to bring Hugo in this, like it give substance. Please read and understand before you make more unsubstantial claims and insulting Presidents so that we can make this a productive conversation.

Sorry Adriaan.
I tend to reuse people's own projected insults against them. Insults do trash up the comments section.

well my friend it's good you feel that way since you started the insults. Do this for and idea, disregard everything you wrote in your expansive argument. Go back to what UI originally said and that which you began your typical insults versus an intelligent debate. Correra knew and Correra knows...that is my opinion. Correra is a supporter of FARC as is his political contemporary...Hugo Chavez who now wants nuclear energy in his country for no reason. By delaying any report pinpointing where FARC is in Ecuador gives FARC ample time to disengage and move to safer ground...probably deeper into Ecuador.

think for a second...if Colombia knew this information how on earth can Correra sit there and say, "oh, I didn't know they were here...really I didn't. Let me ask Hugo what I should say." Please understand that in a country like Ecuador, the President knows everything that is happening inside his borders. If he doesn't he won't be President much longer.

And I choose not to respond further unless any response is preempted by an apology. Like that is going to happen!

Lets get this into correct perspective. You were the one who started insults by calling President Correa and Lujan an idiot, even though it is not directed towards me. I merely apologized to Adriaan for continuing the insults on his site. My judgment towards you still remain and you haven't showed yourself any merit to change that, and previously, I merely reused your projected insult back towards you. You also haven't been able to back your claims since they're still unsubstantial. And I guess you don't want to address my points of arguments that I presented that are related to the topic. You are diverting to other topics like Hugo and clean nuclear energy. By the way, "reason" for nuclear energy is efficiency, ecological, and of course electricity for the whole country, instead of importing electricity from Colombia.
Well my friend, it's good we can understand that, just as you stated, what you claimed is "your opinion" and not fact. Your hypothetical situation that you wanted me to "Think for a second" is only based on your unsubstantial opinion that "Correa knew and Correa knows" the locations. How convenient for you to choose not to respond knowing I wouldn't apologize under this circumstance. If you retracted your statements, i will.
