Indigenous communities of northeastern Cauca held protests Thursday against the recent assassinations of their leaders.
So far, six leaders of indigenous tribes in the department have been killed this year, Radio Caracol reported.
The most recent assassinations were those of Marino Mestizo who was allegedy killed by the FARC on Tuesday and Eduardo Canas Cataque who was shot to death in the local hospital of Miranda on Wednesday.
This Wednesday are the funerals of the two recent victims of the violence against members of indigenous communities in Cauca.
