Colombia's intelligence agency DAS Sunday claimed the arrest of three guerrillas who were planning five simultaneous bombings on Cauca capital Popayan.
The arrested suspects are said to be part of the FARC's Jacobo Arenas mobile column and preparing the attack.
DAS-officials were also able to seize the explosives in the south of the city.
According to the DAS, the agency was investigating the planned bombing for a few months already.
