A one week old baby boy was snatched from his mother's arms and
kidnapped in the municipality of Piedecuesta, in the department of
Santander.
Police announced that the child was taken when two men and a woman arrived at the child's house carrying weapons, Caracol Radio reported Thursday.
They forced the mother into a car and dropped her in the middle of nowhere. She has to walk back to town to report the kidnapping.
The parents of the infant, Orlando Mosquera and Jhoana Andrea Macias, both teachers say they do not know why the baby was taken. They say they do not have teh money to pay a ransom, if this is a kidnapping.
Police began a search for the baby and the kidnappers.
