The Colombian Army Sunday dealt a heavy blow to one of the FARC's top commanders, 'Pablo Catatumbo', by killing three of his closest assistents, local media reported.
According to 5th division commander Jairo Herazo, one of the killed guerrillas is Pablo 'Piernas' Bustamente, in charge of Catatumbo's personal security and considered one of the FARC's most blood thirsty members. Bustamente spent 19 years fighting for the rebels.
The guerrillas were killed in the south of the Tolima department where the Armed Forces have been persecuting two members of the FARC's secretariat; 'Catatumbo' and 'Alfonso Cano'.
