Ecuador claims to have no information about the presence of two leaders of the FARC in their country, RCN Radio reported earlier Monday.
Ecuadorean Minister of Security Miguel Carvajal told radio station Sonorama that if Colombia has such information, it should hand it over to the Ecuadorean authorities so they could investigate.
According to RCN Radio, two members of the FARC's central command are currently operating from Ecuador. The radio station said it had access to intelligence information. Nine other FARC commanders are said to be residing in Venezuela.
Colombian President Álvaro Uribe has said recently on numerous occasions that members of the FARC's leadership are 'cowardly' hiding abroad, but never specified his comments.
