Three buses set on fire in Bogotá

Three buses were set on fire in different parts of Bogotá Thursday morning, in an attack that looks similar to the one that occurred in July last year. That attack left four buses destroyed.

When the fires began, the buses were located in very different parts of the city. One was found in the north, and belonged to a company called Cootranspensilvania. Another, more to the west of the city, was registered to the same company. Cootranspensilvania was also one of the victims of last year's attacks.

The third and final bus was located in the southern part of town, and burned only partially. No injuries occurred at any of these incidents.

Police chief Álvaro Uribe explained that the method used to set these buses on fire, was to leave a small package that causes a minor explosion which in turn causes a fire. Black bags have been found at all three buses, once again resembling July's attacks.

Uptil now, it is unknown who is responsible for the fires.
