Indigenous protesters return home

The thousands of indigenous protesters that had marched to Bogotá to demand the return of land, improved health care and education, the respect of their rights and protection from paramilitary groups will return home Monday.

"The Minga (gathering) ends and we will return to our lands. We'll make one goodbye march through Bogotá and are thinking of passing the U.S. embassy to try to approach international indigenous communities," spokesperson Henry Caballero told reporters.

With the return to their lands, the indigenous end a month-long protest that started in Cauca, then went to Cali and ended in Bogotá.

An indigenous delegation will stay in Colombia's capital to talk to the government about made agreements.
