Uribe: Human rights organizations enemies of Democratic Security

Colombian President Álvaro Uribe continued attacking human rights organizations Tuesday, calling Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch "enemies" of his Democratic Security.

"We have to reject these baseless accusations who are the soul of some who, wrapped in blankets of human rights, want to frustrate the advancing of Democratic Security," the President said in Cartagena.

Uribe urged the Colombian people to prevent "interference in the Democratic Security with rash accusations."

"Colombia can not allow they interfere with the Democratic Security. Especially because the Colombian government at no moment has failed to take the initiative insearching for the truth about whatever denouncement. The government too should denounce," he added.

Uribe reacted to statements made by Americas director of Human Rights Watch who said uribe's atacks on human rights NGOs are "unworthy" of a democratic leader.

The Uribe administration has been accused of gross violations of human rights. The UN classified the exrajudicial killings of civilians by the army "widespread and systematic" and warned Colombia risks being charged before the International Criminal Court.

Fine I'm late, but I slept. I'm not hungry because I stopped to eat first, my cold is finally clearing up because I took the medicine and they are all busted right now.

He needs to find socialism before he goes broke. He needs to stop harrassing the neighbors and he needs to support the Latin community. Now, who do we have that can do that?
