National Registry workers back to work



The strikers of the National Registry, the body that handles all legal documents of Colombians, Tuesday suspended their strike indefinitely.

Vice-President of the workers' union, Enrique Berrio, told Caracol Radio said the union have the legal obligation to facilitate the internal elections of political parties to be held next Thursday and that the National Electoral Council have promised to pay the bonus the workers demanded.

The Registry sent the necessary papers to Colombia's Minister of Finance he needs to secure the payment of one and a half salary to each Registry worker.

The strike lasted four days and ends two days before unions announced a national strike to be held on Thursday
