Ambassador to Dominican Republic resigns over meeting with 'para's'

Juan José Chaux Mosquera, former governor of Cauca and currently Colombia's ambassador to the Dominican Republic resigned after the news broke he had ties to assassinated paramilitary spokesman Antonio 'Job' Lopez.

Chaux was one of the high government officials that met with 'Job' at the presidential palace in Bogotá to talk about possible evidence the paramilitary spokesman said he had that could incriminate the Supreme Court.

The ambassador has admitted facilitating the meeting between the paramilitary representatives and officials of the Presidency.
