Colombia's beautiful women are often praised, but to also pay respect to ugly men, a village in the south east of the country decided to organize an ugly pageant for the local men.
According to the organizers in Tunia, Cauca, the "intangible tourist attraction" is meant as a parody of the immensely popular Miss Colombia election held annually in Cartagena.
Despite being elected the ugliest of the village, Gustavo Adolfo Torres, was proud having achieved victory and contributed his ugliness to pretty much all he had to offer physically: "My face, my beautiful eyes, my nose, my smile and my hair."
As award, Torres was given a pig for his immaculate hideousness.
