Colombian Senator Piedad Córdoba was held by U.S. immigration authorities on JFK airport in New York, to be interrogated about her alleged ties to the FARC, she told Caracol Radio.

Despite her diplomatic visa, the opposition senator was heard for two and a half hours, after trying to enter the U.S.
“When I left customs, I was retained for two and a half hours. I think they wanted to send me back to Colombia. All my papers were photocopied. I had brought denunciations to deliver to the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights. They photocopied everything, my phones and personal belongings too,” the controversial senator said.
Córdoba said that she wasn’t allowed to leave until she had had contact with U.S. assistant Secretary of State, Thommas Shannon and U.S. governor Bill Richardson.
She thinks the official objection of Colombian consul in New York, Fransisco Noguera, to her speaking at the Venezuelan consul about a humanitarian agreement with teh FARC about releasing hostages, triggered the arrest.
The senator is considering to file charges against the U.S. authorities.

I love Piedad Cordoba, but I don’t agree with her visiting the US. What the heck does she have to do there? Does she want to be sent to Guantanamo and tortured?
Be realistic, the American Commission of Human Rights is just a fake HR organization, very likely financed and controlled by CIA. They are the ones who provide the US government with all sort of excuses that later on are used to invade other countries. How kind, isn’t it?
The fight is here, in South America. We cannot expect anything good, but oppression from those elitist and racist thugs who govern Europe and the US. Look how they treat Mexicans despite doing the jobs Americans do not want to do. Look how Europeans treat Africans and other migrants whom now they are thinking of sending to concentration camps.

Ol’ Piedaddy got caught in the FARC computer where her passionate love for the terrorists was recorded for eternity. I’m glad they questioned her, she really is as terrorist as the FARC computer says she is. She’s also under investigation for treason and her showing up at a Chavista extravaganza kind of says something.

Agreed tequendamia, unfortunately every senator or diplomat from countries outside the US are sent to Guantanamo for torturous interrogation… or you are jumping to media conclusions.
It is also unfortunate that ths US seems to stick its nose into everyone’s business, or was it a request made on the behalf of uribe to assist with the Farc organization in colombia.
Lets say that your child goes to school, and the principal of the school came upon some evidence perhaps from text messages or notes in class that a group of children were conspiring to attack your child for whatever reason. One of the alleged conspiring children is in the administration office explaining why he was late to school, should the child not be help from class and questioned about the texts or notes in regards to violence upon your child?
